HISTORY OF THE GUARDIANS GRUNTS CLAN (SHORT)
2008: First Year
The GGC was founded in March of 2008. The first few to be in the clan that are still in is Steely, Rabid, and UNLEASHED. These few have seen the great triumphs and the great defeats through the years. In 2008, Mensa a member of WAR clan came and spied on the clan. They saw the power we had and started stealing members. This triggered factions to rise and a mass exodus of recruits at the time we were 100 strong. This made our clan small and weak and when the factions started the civil war it made the clan dangerously small, to the brink of collapse. The 'Original Twenty' fought with UNLEASHED and won every battle in the war. When we engaged in battle it was evident that the few Original left would fight for the GGC and they would not give up the fight. the war lasted approximately 2 months. We won the war squashing out the uprising but we have not yet fully recovered from the severe recruit losses.
2009: Second Year
In 2009 Carbine was fed up with the untrustworthiness so he got a rebel group of 25 and for a week it was endless battles. These battles really put a burden on our soldiers because of the back-to-back games we had to fight so, it encouraged the leaders to start the first generation Special Operations Unit which fought the rest of the war. These new soldiers were viewed as favorites by some of the Originals. Two Originals left. When we came out victorious again, Carbine surrendered as long as every one was treated equal. All of 2009 past without major wars but we did have a lot of clan battles majority of which we won. Also in this year one of the Originals quit and joined YRG. They fought the GGC. With YRG being frustrated with losing every battle they then turned towards UNLEASHED and hacked him.
2010: Third Year
In the spring of 2010 frozen carmine (Fire Angel 034) left the Halo 3 clan for a Reach clan, when Reach came out his clan started a small skirmish with the GGC but in a matter of 3 games it was over, and we were victorious. We did not hear from him again until spring of 2011. We had few clan battles as everyone was getting used to Halo Reach still. The clan had to change its emblem because the Halo 3 one wasn't there. We first tried a flaming fist but then went to the flaming grunt as it relates to our name.
2011: Fourth Year
In 2011 a war was sparked between the UN and the GGC, the GGC leaders saw it as an opportunity to gain publicity and more recruits and we went in against a worthy adversary, the few battles against the UN led to severe GGC losses, but in the end our 'war' was won we got the publicity we needed and got others to follow us in our campaign against the UN. In the summer of 2011, Demon, leader of Red Team felt that he was not making as good decisions for the clan as he once did. Demon left nearly causing a war between his newly formed clan and GGC. In the Fall of 2011 we fought a clan that was hosting a tournament, we ended up beating them by about half their kills. They were good, but we were better. In the early winter of 2011, UUF a close allie of the UN fought us after we challenged them. Again its not that they weren't skillful we were just much better. Also Syphilis AKA Bergmann wanted to start a clan. Our members started joining him and he then ended it. But he wanted another member to take the blame so he wouldn't get in trouble. He was exiled from clan activity. So long old friend. Unmatched in clan battles we go on to lose at a maximum 5, winning roughly 40. Our numbers grow with our skill and we are quickly becoming what the leaders set out to achieve.
2012: Fifth Year
During the spring of 2012 the clan is weak. We were losing members and moral but not skill. So UNLEASHED decided that war was the only way to save the clan. We then turned on our allies North Star Clan. War is initiated when we blame an old NSC guy on being a spy. We fight 20 battles and and win 16 losing 4. Three of the battles lost were in MLG objective, one was a battle lead by Urun when they lost by one point. NSC Casualties: 1491; GGC Casualties: 1116. The clan returns to full strength soon after the war we deemed the Amalgamate War meaning a war to unite and bring together. A member by the name of Cobalt Melon, a veteran of the Amalgamate War decided to leave, planting a spy named Modern Legend. Urun handled the situation by battling Cobalt and showing him which clan is the best. Soon after UNLEASHED prepares to leave along with many past generals and to leave the clan in the hands of those under his command. Originally he was to stay out for 10 months and to spend that time trying to help clans in the community like FLCM, UN and DoD. After being kicked out of all those clans in a matter of 2 weeks UNLEASHED and Demon decided to return. Demon and UNLEASHED fixed their friendship and now everything is the way they used to be. When they returned the clan was unrecognizable as skill and members were lost again. By the time Halo 4 comes out the clan is struggling to keep up and regain the lost strength. However with all the new additions in Halo 4 it was difficult to get a good footing. We focused all our energy on developing new maps, recruiting and also our youtube outlets. We eventually got over 70 Greens alone but it was not enough. It would take too much time to reattain the power we had than what we wanted to spend. So we ended our reign after 5 years.
